A slab-rolled and pressed ceramic material palette that explores using local, unconventional construction and demolition materials for use in a glaze. A glimpse into the creative process, each palette captures a moment of studio testing and experimentation.
This particular palette features line blends with brick rubble, tile fragments and brick cutting sludge.

This series of ceramics explore the use of reclaimed brick, tile and brick cutting sludge collected from 47 Easey Street in 2022. Each ceramic tile or cup holds memory, and expresses the character of the warehouse’s history from a 1900’s bootmaker, to PBS FM headquarters, to 47ES.
Georgia Stevenson works and innovates with construction and demolition by-products through her research project, Breaking Ground. Glaze development for this series is generously supported by the City of Yarra.
